The battle to hunt for Taylor Swift’s concert tickets in Singapore

During the pre-sale (pre-sale) of the Taylor Swift concert in Singapore taking place at noon on July 5, more than 80,000 tickets were quickly “sold out” within 3 hours. Many Vietnamese fans expressed regret when they had fully prepared their “wallet” and procedures, waited patiently but still missed the opportunity.

Singapore is the only Southeast Asian destination that Taylor Swift has chosen to hold 6 concerts within the framework of her The Eras Tour. The tour will be held on March 2, 3, 4 and 7, 8, 9, 2024 at the Singapore National Stadium in the Singapore Sports Complex. Although this concert will not take place until next year, the ticket hunting fever has broken out right now, with extremely fierce competition. Taylor Swift’s fan community in Vietnam is also not outside this “war”.

Although the organizers have decided to open 3 more shows, the number of tickets sold still does not seem to be enough to meet the needs of Taylor Swift fans.

TICKET MASTER

At noon on July 5, Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour in Singapore officially opened for pre-sale tickets. This is an early ticket sale exclusively for those who have registered for a registered fan account at Ticketmaster.sg website and own a UOB bank card. According to Straits Time, after only 10 minutes of opening for sale, the number of people waiting to buy tickets has reached 1 million. Upon entering the “queue”, each account will be given a random queue number. Each person only has 10 minutes to complete the procedures for selecting ticket class, region, and completing transactions. Each account is allowed to buy up to 4 tickets.

The pre-sale ticket for the Taylor Swift show has become a “hot” topic on Vietnamese social networks all day yesterday. From early in the morning, many fans opened their computers, phones and visited Ticketmaster.sg to “wait” to enter the ticket hunt. To increase the probability of “lucky”, many people also log into multiple devices at the same time. After about 3 hours, the system announced that “pre-sale” tickets were sold out. CNBC predicts that about 80,000 tickets have been sold while more than 1 million people are waiting in line to hunt for tickets.
